Kathy has a wealth of experience in maternal-child nursing. For 41 years she has worked as a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery, Childbirth Education, Mom-Baby care and as a Lactation consultant. She became a Certified Childbirth Educator in 1986 and then one of ICEA's national trainers in 2009. She holds certifications as a inpatient Obstetrics nurse and is certified in electronic fetal monitoring, both through NCC and AWHONN.
Kathy has developed and taught classes for expectant families: childbirth education, teen birth classes, sibling classes, VBAC, Cesarean birth classes, breastfeeding classes and baby care. She has mentored student educators and student nurses for decades.
She has taught Maternity Nursing to both LPN students and ADN student nurses. She has been a presenter at Colorado ICEA State Sharing day, at the National ICEA convention and provided a webinar for ICEA.

Kathy has been happily married for 43 years and they have two grown sons; plus the brightest granddaughter ever! She is a native Coloradoan and loves her mountains.

I firmly believe childbearing families can make their own best decisions about options with current, un-biased researched information.
